The Columbus Amsterdam Business Improvement District (BID) was created to increase commercial activity and to create a
more vital and active business center along Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues from W. 96 Street to W. 110 Street by
providing services and initiating capital improvements to make the neighborhood cleaner, safer and more prosperous.

Upcoming Events

3rd Annual Manhattan Valley Family Days Sundays May 6 & May 20
The BID presents its annual community celebration with free family-oriented activities and entertainment for all ages.  Amsterdam Ave. between
W. 106-W. 110 Streets will be closed to traffic.  Restaurants are offering additional sidewalk seating and service; cafe tables and chairs will be scattered along the avenue.  Come out and enjoy the spring, meet your neighbors, try new restaurants and celebrate the neighborhood.  This event is part of the NYC DOT Weekend Walks Program.  Click below for a complete list of activities.

Restaurants north of 96th Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue are offering specials during May’s “Upper West Restaurant Month”.  More than 15 participating restaurants with diverse cuisines are offering lunch, dinner and drink specials throughout the month.   

The event is sponsored by www.dnainfo.com and the Columbus Amsterdam BID as part of a campaign to highlight local food options.
