Noemi Cabrera is the owner and operator of SLN Cleaners, a dry cleaners providing expert tailoring and an on-site wash and fold service located on Columbus Avenue. The business is a long-trusted staple of the community, and has managed to stay open in the face of many economic crises. They have stayed open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with reduced hours - a testament to their resilience in the face of adversity.

Noemi Cabrera is a small business wonder woman. Born in Ecuador and immigrating to the United States at the age of 18, Noemi immediately began working and was able to open SLN Cleaners in 2001. She is proud to say that SLN Cleaners has been run “mostly by hardworking women. From making deliveries, providing laundry service and expert tailoring, all this work is done solely by strong women of color”. She attributes the strength of her Wonder Woman power to her family and her independence, as well as the two women employees who run the store from start to finish.
